Hi again all the ninjas!
You might ask "where have you guys been?", well...we were in Miami for the first ACC game of the year and maybe even couple of you watched it on TV. Yeah, it wasn't our best game maybe, but hey, you have to learn from every loss, right? The bright side is, I captured some amazing photos when we were flying there and back. Here are some for inspiration:

So we used this weekend after the Miami game as relaxation, and I, your lovely dietitian-to-be(fingers crossed), ate like a ninja through the weekend. Except those birthday cake oreos, damn you oreos!
Okay first one is the best dinner I have had for a long time. Me and my friends cooked chicken and papaya quesadillas (yes I looked it up to spell it right, don't judge people), sweet potato fries, and strawberry poppyseed salad. Since my friend Marybeth used to work at Panera she had the real deal Poppyseed dressing they have, yummy! This is so delicious but yet so easy. You have no excuses not to try.

We bought already cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded it into little pieces, and put between two whole-wheat (duh!) tortillas with diced papaya, bell peppers (from my friends' organic garden) <-- bonus points , and some cheese, and pressed until it cooked.

For the salad simply toss greens (organic too), strawberries, feta cheese, walnuts and add the dressing on it.

And the sweet potato fries are pre-cut frozen ones that you can find in the grocery stores, Bake them according to the package, and you get a healthy side dish in a blink.
The breakfast was scrambled eggs with the leftover bell peppers we used yesterdays dinner, mushrooms, and a tiny bit of olive oil.

On the side, I had greek yogurt/lemon muffin (I will share the recipe later), and greek yogurt with leftover papaya and granola. You can also spot my coconut water, I am obsessed with it. I love every kind, but of course, Zico's chocolate one is simply AMAZING!
And this is the dinner, me and my roommates cooked. You can see the sweet potato fries again, and the salad with avocados, mangoes, raspberries, and candied pecans. Also we made some tomato and mozzarella salad with balsamic and olive oil, it is caprese salad minus the basil. Also ninjas need some good source of carbs to fuel up, so we cooked some couscous with shredded mozzarella and steamed veggies. Whenever it is about food, ninjas/athletes have no patience, I promise, we do not want to wait a minute to eat as soon as we are done with the practice. If we can find the courage to cook instead of dining out, or getting fast food, you can also do it. None of these meals took more than 45 mins, so get you butt up and do some work.

If you are eating healthy only to look good in that dressing that you are going to wear for a friends wedding, you are on a right path. But do not forget, if you want to get into that dress and stay in shape after the wedding, yes even after eating 5 slices from the wedding cake, you should find more motivation. Maybe your health, maybe your fitness level, or maybe just to feel better. Anything works unless you give up. If you feel like giving up, think how amazing you feel when you eat healthy food and compare it to the feeling after eating fast food. Okay I talked too much, so I will leave you with a video of a ninja we try to recruit. She has some legit skills. She is rocking the "diablo".

Ninjas have been pretty busy... With what? Making fools of themselves. You know, we do our best to make people happy in the morning workouts. So we just go to the turf room and make people laugh... Not bad, not at all. Here is our ninja style embarrassment from the other day

Well yeah, we did some work too... "I believe I can fly" type of morning...

Ok now, here are some facts... FSU volleyball #6 in the nation (the highest ranking in the school history), still undefeated, facing Miami on Friday for the first ACC match of the season. Starting in ninja style. Make sure to remember this face cause this jinja is gonna kick ass this season:)
Do you remember our poster for 2012? We thought it was too mainstream so we decided to redesign it for our fans, and I think they love it so far... Now it looks like this

So, you better be in Miami on Friday night or follow the action live on ESPNU at 7pm... Also, there is always http://twitter.com/FSU_Volleyball or http://www.facebook.com/FSUVolleyball where Mr Steve Stone can make your day with just one post:) Stay tuned!

And last but not least, look what security cameras caught the other day in the turf room! Watch out people!

Word of the day is: srećno (Serbian), iyi sanslar (Turkish), good luck (English). Have a great night you all!

My jinja is crazy. I guess ice cream is bad for Turks... They get hyper, bother people on Skype and talk nonsense....or about nutella. Crazy Turks. Anyway, tomorrow is our first home game. Poole party is on! #8 FSU vs. FIU, be there! And also, if you haven't done it yet, check out how ninja we look on our new poster :)
